Dana Simpson - Occupational Therapist
Dana received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of
Montana and Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from A.T.
Still University. Dana is certified to administer the Sensory Integration
and Praxis Test (SIPT) and certified in Interactive Metronome.
Dana has worked in the school setting for eight years primarily with
preschool aged children. She has additional experience with school- aged
children with handwriting programs and self-regulation programs.
Dana also has training with oral motor programs, feeding concerns and
sensory based eating difficulties for children 3 months to 7 years of age.
Dana believes collaboration and a team approach is vital for a child's
development and to gain independence in daily life. Providing
parents and caregivers resources, understanding, solutions for home
programming, and to facilitate independence are the necessary components to
a child's success.
